An Age-Old Question with a Rather Simple Answer.

So, is it better to Rent… or Buy? I get this question all the time.

After 40 Years in Real Estate, here’s how I explain it.

Renting gives you flexibility. You’re not tied down, and your upfront costs are usually lower. But here’s the downside. Every payment you make is going to your landlord—not toward your future.

Now let’s look at Buying.

When you own a home, your payment is building equity over time. You’re investing in something that’s yours. And historically, Real Estate has been one of the most consistent ways people build wealth.

Now, is Buying right for everyone? No.

You need to be financially ready, and you need to plan to stay for a few years.

But if you’re in a position to Buy, you’re not just paying for a place to live—you’re building something for your future.

That’s the difference.

If you’re not sure which direction makes sense for you, I’m always here to walk you through it—no pressure, just straight answers.
