Make Sure to Read This Before Calling Your Contractor!
After 40 years in Real Estate, I’ve seen sellers constantly make one big mistake. They fix the wrong things.
Not everything needs to be updated before you sell. In fact, some upgrades WON'T give you a return on your money.
For Example:
A Full Kitchen Remodel? Not necessary.
High-End Upgrades? Buyers may not value them the same way you do.
Major Renovations? That can delay your sale and cost you more than you’ll get back.
Here’s what I tell my sellers instead; Focus on the Basics.
Clean. Declutter. A fresh coat of paint, if needed. Minor repairs. Those are the things that make the biggest difference. Let the buyer decide how they want to upgrade the home.
The goal isn’t to make it perfect. The goal is to make it appealing and priced correctly.
If you’re thinking about selling, I can help you decide what’s worth fixing—and what’s not. That alone can save you thousands.
